Territorial planning plan

The Territorial Planning Plan (POT) is a technical and regulatory instrument for long-term planning and management of the territory, which is formulated to guide the development of municipalities for the coming years, and which allows regulating the use, occupation and transformation of physical space, both urban and rural.

These plans are a tool that arise based on Law 388 of 1997, which establishes the principles that govern Territorial Planning in our country, the purposes that urban planning must fulfill in compliance with its public function, and also defines the concepts and terms under which territorial planning should be addressed. Consequently, exposure to natural threats and risk also become fundamental and structuring aspects of these instruments throughout the Colombian territory.
